MARY MAGDELENE

According to Sir Laurence Gardner, Mary Magdalene was known in the Languedoc as the ‘Mistress of the Waters’. This title aligns her with the Mother Goddess Acca (Isis). As the Miriam, she was the Head Sister of the Order of Dan. Her order appears to be the continuation of the mysterious tribe of Daniel. Daniel (‘God is my judge’) was not a personal name. It was a group of people. The question who or what then are the Daniel takes on paramount importance.

In her Woman’s Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets, Barbara Walker answers this question by saying ‘Daniel’ was a title used to distinguish “a person of the Goddess Dana or Diana.”

Diana is the same as D’Inanna or Inanna.

There’s your trouble. That is exactly the same meaning as the Celtic Tuatha De’ Danann (‘Children of the Goddess Danu’).

Tuat is the root for also:

  • Tuat, the Egyptian name for the Inner World
  • the root of Taautus, another name for Thoth
  • Taaut the Egyptian name for the great serpent (soul) encircling the Earth,  whom Gnostics identified with Jesus.

This is no coincidence. There are plenty of historical connections between the people of Daniel, the Tuatha De’ Danann (pronounced thoo-AH-huh duh-DAH-nun), and the Egyptian tribe of Thoth. As we will see, they were later known as the David and later as the Druids.

In Irish history, the M-Istical Tuatha De’ Danann, are described as heaven-sent ‘gods, and not-gods’. They are compared with the Sanskrit deva (shining one, god) and adeva (Devil), which became daeva (devil) in Persian. The Old English divell (devil) can be traced to the Roman derivative divus, divi: gods.

This confusion may explain why the writers of the Old Testament didn’t particularly care for the Danites, whom they said would judge (balance) the people and were called Serpents by Jacob,  a title typically (and erroneously) reserved for Satan, whom the Egyptians called Sata, serpent.

According to Celtic/Druid legend, on Beltane or May Day, in a fog, the Tuatha De’ Danann came ‘through the air’ to Ireland to teach young men sacred wisdom. Their arrival was so profound it was said to have covered up the sun for three days (just like happens in the book of Revelation). The Tuatha De’ Danann were generous too. They brought with them four treasures or power tools:

  • the (S)tone of Destiny
  • the (S)word of Destiny
  • the Cup of Destiny
  • the Staff or Spear of Destiny

They placed these treasures on a silver platter called the Talleior. These treasures were housed in the so-called Cave of Treasures, inside the Mountain of God, where burns a perpetual flame.

To me, this description rang of the Temple of Solomon at-op Mount Moriah. Especially since the Anu were known to have occupied the site of the Temple Mount back in the pre-Jewish days when it was called Op-Hel.

After conquering Ireland, the Tuatha De’ Danann were themselves conquered in a shoot out with another tribe, the Sons of Mil (the Gaels). At the armistice meeting with their conquerors, a poet named Amergin (or Amorgen) split the land into an upper and lower part (like Egypt, which was reunited by Thoth, the Peacemaker).

Amergin is someone to keep an eye on. In one of his famous poems, The Song of Amergin, he repeatedly identified himself as ‘I Am’, the name of the Hebrew god Yahweh, the god of Daniel. (The fact that the name of the god of these stories is identical certainly links them.) That same poem refers to Amergin as “the Word of Science.”

Per this agreement, the people of Daniel were required to leave the surface of the Earth and live in an underground kingdom accessed only through the sidh-mounds (pronounced “she”) or ‘hollow hills’ of Ireland.

Correspondingly, the Egyptian Tuat, the ‘Place of Ascending’, was an inner realm accessed through a ‘mound’ we call the Great Pyramid.

In the sidh-mounds the Tuatha de’ Danann assumed invisibility, with the power to reappear in human form at will or ascend to higher plane(t)s. This is one of the 8 magic powers or the ashta-siddhis, of the yogi masters. The Buddhist title Siddhartha literally means “rich in magic.”   This title was claimed by Siddhartha Guatama, the seventh in a line of reincarnated Buddhas.

These 8 spiritual blessings are a mystery. Do they correspond with the 8 Beatitudes of Jesus?

From their sidh-mounds the Tuatha De’ Danann, the continued to teach their forbidden mysteries.

It was the special duty of the Druids, writes W.Y. Evans-Wentz in The Fairy Faith in Celtic Countries, to act as intermediaries between the world of men and the invisible or underground world of the Tuatha de’ Danann. They are considered to be direct descendents or reincarnations of the early gods of Sumeria, the Anu.

Wentz notes that these sidhe people are described as a race of majestic appearance and marvelous beauty, in form human, yet in nature divine.  They are divided into two classes: those which are shining, and those which are opalescent and seem lit up by a light within themselves.

The word sidh informs us of the nature of these forbidden teachings the Daniel had access to. Sidh appears to be related to the Latin sedes and the Sanskrit siddha, both words meaning power. Some of these sidh-mounds or power vortexes, particularly those of Rosses Point country in Ireland,  gained renown as possible locations for stargates or interdimensional gateways to and from the innerworld home of the Tuatha De’ Danann.

King Arthur of the Grail legend is considered to be one of these reincarnated Anu siddh heroes. After his death he was taken to live in the Otherworld of Sacred Apple-Groves, Avalon, and was prophesied to reincarnate as a Messiah.

As noted, Siddh-Artha Guatama Buddha (a name which rings of Siddh Arthur) is the seventh in a line of reincarnated Buddhas who is prophesied to appear on Earth at the end of the world as the avatar Maitreya. Tantric texts claim Maitreya will be able to walk on water, make himself invisible, create and destroy matter, and transmute base metals into gold.

After their banishment to the interior world, the Tuatha de’ Danann were transformed into devils by the Catholic Church. Their stature was considerably shrunk in size, too. This is evidenced by the term henceforth applied to them, fairy folk.

The Tuatha de’ Danann were described as tall, blond and fair-skinned. By adding a ‘y’ suffix to their name, a demonic or diminutive image was created.

The Church is understandably reluctant to admit this (just as the Japanese are sheepish about discussing their ancestors the Ainus — the Children of Diana — who were fair, tall and blond and came from the sky, left for the skies, and will return from the skies).

As they withdrew, the Tuatha de’ Danann prophesied that man would eventually destroy himself through lust and sin.

Despite their apparent contempt, the ancients accepted the Dan-El or Daniel, as wise people and prophets of immense importance. As judges they were the Messiahs or ‘balancers of Heaven and Earth’.

THE ALL
Connecting Mary Magdalene, the Head Sister of the Order of Dan, with the Biblical people of Daniel and the Tuatha De’ Danann slips the ‘decoder ring’ of Rennes back on our finger. It ‘opens the book’ on her secrets: the existence of the Dan’s stargate at Rennes-le-Chateau linking Earth with AMOR.

The fact that in the Hindu Vedas the word Anu or Danu means “the waters of heaven or space,”   and is only one letter away from the Egyptian goddess Nu or Nut, returns us to Egypt and the secrets of the gods.

As noted, early Christian texts describe Mary Magdalene as ‘the woman who knew the All’. Cross-checking Egyptian mythology, we discover an astonishing Egyptian description of ‘the All’.

The side posts of Egyptian temple’s entrance doors are often ornamented with horizontal bands of bas-reliefs portraying the three symbols:

  • Uas — the tree branch, commonly called the ‘Key of the Nile’
  • TET or Djed (center) — the Pillar of Osiris
  • Ankh — ‘life’.

Uas Djed Ankh                                                               Uas Ankh Uas

These symbols are placed on a basket. This basket is the All.

One of the key figures in Egyptian mythology associated with the All is Ptah or Ptah-Tenen, which means “risen or raised Earth.” Egyptian myth said Ptah formed and shaped the material world.

Ptah was most commonly depicted as a bearded man wearing a blue skull-cap. His close-fitting garment is made of bird feathers. In his hands he holds the forked uas (“branch”), the ankh (“life”), and the djed (“stability”).

Ptah, covered in bird feathers,

holding the combined Uas, Djed and Ankh

In Egypt “Ptah is usually regarded as a form of the Sun god,” says Egyptologist E.A. Wallis Budge, “and as the personification of the rising sun…”  Elsewhere he is described as the creative aspect of Ra. His name means “to open” by “sculpting or engraving.” He was a master at working with stone. As John Anthony West observes, no sculptor sculpts without “inspiration,” the muse. That is Ptah. Christians called him Pater (‘Father’) or Peter (‘Rock’, ‘Stone’), and assigned him the role of holding the Key to Heaven.

Ptah was also a great worker of metals. According to Budge, he was also both a smelter and a caster, and sculptor, as well as the master architect and designer of everything which exists in the world.

The Greeks and the Latins claimed Hephaistos and Vulcan as his later names. Hephaistos was an early smith god, cast down from the Olympian’s heaven by Zeus, for trying to protect his mother Hera (Earth). Like Asclepius, he was associated with lightning.  A lightning bolt from Zeus killed Asclepius because he was afraid that such a skillful physician could make all men immortal.

The Staff of Asclepius shows a serpent wound around a staff.

It is the symbol for medicine.

From the back of Ptah’s neck hangs the menat, a symbol of magical fertility in earthly happiness that promoted fruitfulness and health.

He stands on a pedestal made in the shape of the sign maat, “Truth,” “Mother.”   Maat’s symbol was the feather of Truth against which she weighed each man’s heart-soul in her underworld Hall of Judgment. Thus Ptah, the bird-man, is clothed in the feathers of the Truth of Maat.

Those who lived by Maat took a sacramental drink, comparable to the Holy Grail, which conferred ritual purity.

Maat is probably Tiamat, one of the Pleiades. There is an intimate connection in the early legends of this group of seven stars with a flock of birds, especially doves, and the Grail. In the Odyssey Homer tells us that,

“No bird of air, no dove of swiftest wing,
that bears ambrosia to the ethereal king.”

The doves of Nestor’s cup described by Homer in the Iliad are also thought to refer to the Pleiades.

Fascinatingly, the Pleiades have also been likened to a bunch of grapes or Blue Apples. Ancient coins depict doves with bodies formed by bunches of grapes. The dove appeared in migration at the time of vintage, its purple-red breast like wine reminding the wine makers of their grapes.

Suddenly, the story of Jesus’ “curing” Mary Magdalene, his chief apostle, of “possession” by “seven demons” takes on New meaning. These seven demons may well be the seven stars of the Pleiades. His “curing” would therefore represent him mystically attuning her soul or telling her stories about the seven stars (or Blue Apples) of the Pleiades.

The grapes of the Pleiades (the Blue Apples) may be the same as the seven demons which “possessed” Mary Magdalene, figures prominently in the mystery of Rennes.

Small bear figurines have led researchers on the trail of hitherto unknown pre-Inuit rituals, indicating that these people practiced a bear cult.

The headless bear figure was found lying with its neck against the back wall, as if it was diving into the fireplace This has led archaeologists to believe they are dealing with a hitherto unknown ritual practice. (Photo: The National Museum of Denmark)

In the 1950s, the now deceased Danish archaeologist Jørgen Meldgaard made a mysterious discovery in northeastern Canada:

A small, headless bear figurine, carved from a walrus tusk, was lying leaning up against the back wall of a stone fireplace in an old settlement. The bear had been positioned in a way that made it look as though it was ‘diving’ into the fireplace.

At the time, this little figurine didn’t cause much of a stir. It was just one out of a long series of discoveries that Meldgaard made during his field trips to the Igloolik region of Arctic Canada and Greenland in the 1950s and 1960s.

But when researchers at the Danish National Museum recently gained access to Meldgaard’s surviving diaries, records and photos, they realised that the discovery of the bear figurine was indeed quite sensational.

Humans and animals were close

Their examination of the material revealed that the small bear figurine could be an important key to understanding how people from more than 1,000 years ago viewed the relationship between animals and humans.

”The figurine provides us with information about some previously unknown 1,000-year-old rituals, which suggest that the Pre-Inuit, also known as the Dorset people, imagined that humans were related to certain animals in a way that’s very far from what we would imagine in today’s Western world,” says Ulla Odgaard, a senior researcher at the National Museum.

“Apparently, the Dorset people in Greenland and Canada didn’t see any antagonism between humans and animals,” she adds.

“Humans were not superior to animals; rather, it was a symbiotic co-existence. Bears and other animals functioned as mediators between mankind and the world of spirits.”

The Dorset way of thinking is also known from other early cultures

In other words, the finds reveal a belief in which animals – bears in particular – are our brothers, whose lives blend in with our own.

The walrus tusk figurine is only 3.4 cm in length and could be an important key to understanding how people more than 1,000 years ago understood the relationship between humans and bears. The figure is thought to have disappeared now, leaving today’s archaeologists with little more than Jørgen Meldgaard’s sketches and blurry photos. (Photo: The National Museum of Denmark)

The way the Dorset culture viewed the relationship between humans and animals is known as animism – a phenomenon also known from other cultures.

“We know that the relationship between bears and humans has been crucial in all pre-modern cultures. This applies almost as far back in time as we can trace – all the way back to the very earliest renderings of the world that humans have created,” says Odgaard’s colleague at the National Museum, Martin Appelt.

For instance, we see this relationship expressed in small carvings and cave paintings of humans and bears from the hunter-gatherer culture.

“Many cultures have combined human and animal features in their illustrations – e.g. a figurine of a bear with a falcon’s body, where the underside depicts a carved human head,” he says.

On many figurines from early cultures, the skeleton is cut so that it’s visible outside the body – and that’s also the case with Meldgaard’s bear figurine.

According to Appelt, this bears witness to a belief that the difference between humans and animals only lies in the skin they’re wearing, so to speak.

“So an animal is also a person – only with a different skin. And some of them have probably been regarded as spirits – i.e. people in a parallel universe to ours.”

The bear was something special

The apparent fact that bears were regarded as something special could be because the bear, along with man, is one of the few animals that were believed to transcend and travel between the worlds of land and sea.

Another explanation may be that humans and bears could change roles depending on the situation: sometimes it was the man who hunted the bear and sometimes it was vice versa.

The discovery of another bear was an eye opener

Among the thousands of unique and spectacular objects that Jørgen Meldgaard and his colleagues excavated in the Canadian settlements in the 1950s and 60s, the many fine carvings made from walrus tusks, reindeer antler and driftwood are particularly interesting to archaeologists. These include small carvings of humans, human-like creatures and various animals, but also figures which seem to contain traits from both humans and animals. The figures reveal a belief in which animals – bears in particular – are our brothers, whose lives blend in with ours. (Photo: The National Museum of Denmark)

Meldgaard also found another bear figurine in a nearby settlement.

This bear stood upright with its head sticking up and the body half buried in the gravel.

Underneath it they found a fireplace, which suggests that this bear apparently was about to rise up from the fireplace.

The combination of both of the bear figurines’ interaction with the fireplaces led the Odgaard to believe that this could be a sign of rituals.

Carved bear figurines and the symbolism of rising and diving bears is also known in other parts of the world, for instance in Siberia, where resurrection rituals have been performed for millennia, says Odgaard.

Here, the bear was the mythical ancestor that every year travels to the upper world to secure the liberation of the animals’ souls, so that humans again can hunt them.

The fireplace was the gateway to other worlds

Legends from Siberia indicate that humans could communicate with the world of spirits through the fireplace. In other words, the fireplace may have been regarded as a gateway to other worlds.

Bears are also known from Neolithic petroglyphs in Siberia and numerous finds of bear heads or headless bear figurines in the Arctic region. But none of these have been found in a ritual context like the two from Igloolik.

Bear figurines could explain lack of finds of burial sites

Since the ritual with fireplaces appears to stretch across time and space, the researchers believe the finds are of far greater importance than previously thought.

Dorset people may have dismembered their dead

Although there’s no shortage of ancient Inuit tales about the special relationship between humans and animals, the oral sources tend to dry out once we start moving toward the millennia before the Inuit settled in Arctic Canada and Greenland.

“We have so far had glaringly few archaeological finds from pre-Inuit graves on other ritual elements that could increase our understanding of how the pre-Inuit people viewed their world,” says Appelt.

“This is where the bear figurines suddenly make many pieces fall into place. Suddenly we understand the many other figures with bear heads or headless bears in a completely different way.”

That the two bear figurines from the fireplaces have their skeletons carved on the outside of their bodies also confirms a suspicion the archaeologists have had that Dorset people probably dismembered their dead and scattered them out on the fields or sunk them in the sea, so they would end up as animal food – like we’re seeing in e.g. today’s Nepal and Tibet.

“This suspicion is compounded by the fact that the few bones we’ve actually found from the Dorset culture are not whole skeletons, but simple elements – a jaw, a thighbone, etc.

This suggests that the Dorset people had a completely different view of skeletons and bodies from what we have today – which the carvings of external skeletons on the bear figurines testify to.”

Rituals transcend space and time

Appelt says that the bear figurines from Igloolik are forcing archaeologists to think outside the box.

Time and space not enough to understand the past

The archaeologist explains that when you look at archaeological finds across the world, there are so many overlaps where rituals transcend across cultures, time and space that there seems to be a connection.

“It’s very strange! And many archaeologists will surely find it unreasonable to think this way as an archaeologist – because how can things be connected in this way?” says Appelt.

”I don’t have the answer. There’s no answer book here. But I think the two headless bear figurines prove that it’s not always right to view history from within the narrow confines of time, space and traditions.

The next step for Odgaard, Appelt and their colleagues is to create an overview of Meldgaard’s records and publish the most important scientific findings.

Facts

The Danish National Museum’s comprehensive research initiative ‘Northern Worlds’ aims to generate new insights into the relationship between man and the environment over the past 15,000 years, with a perspective on the present, where substantial climatic change is taking place.

It will also shed light on global networks by studying Northern cultures from the Ice Age hunters to the present-day populations in the cold regions.

‘Northern Worlds’ consists of more than 20 projects, headed by leading researchers from all departments at the Danish National Museum.

The bear figurines on the fireplaces are not only some of the few physical vestiges testifying to the Dorset culture’s view of life and death that archaeologist have ever come across.

The figurines may also help explain an old mystery – why archaeologists only rarely find burial sites from the earliest settlers in Greenland and Arctic Canada.

The Dorset people in Greenland and Canada (c. 700 to 1,200 AD) is an archaeological term for a non-Inuit people group from Greenland.

The Dorset culture preceded the Inuit culture in Arctic North America. Archaeologists believe the people migrated from Siberia and Alaska between 4,000 years ago and until the birth of Christ.

Iniuit legends mention Tunitt (singular Tuniq) or Sivullirmiut (‘The first inhabitants’) as a people who were displaced by the Inuit.

Archaeologists, however, doubt whether or not the Inuit met with the Dorset culture, although there is a general consensus that the two groups have lived in the same area for a period.

Dorset culture became extinct around 1902 – probably as a result of a change in climate and living conditions, but also because they were ousted by the Inuit.

“We archaeologists prefer to work from the hypothesis that we can define various periods in history and that there is a clear division between space and time. But the figurines reveal that this is not the case here,” says Appelt.

“Some phenomena, such as animism and the rituals with the fireplaces and the dismemberment of the dead, transcend time and space – which is why you simply need to view them in bits of several 100,000 years if they are to be understood and make sense.”

Sciencenordic.com

This is a 2006 article.

He’s not the enemy of God, his name really isn’t Lucifer and he isn’t even evil. And as far as leading Adam and Eve astray, that was a bad rap stemming from a case of mistaken identity.

“There’s little or no evidence in the Bible for most of the characteristics and deeds commonly attributed to Satan,” insists a UCLA professor with four decades in what he describes as “the devil business.”

In “Satan: A Biography” (Cambridge Press), Henry Ansgar Kelly puts forth the most comprehensive case ever made for sympathy for the devil, arguing that the Bible actually provides a kinder, gentler version of the infamous antagonist than typically thought.

“A strict reading of the Bible shows Satan to be less like Darth Vader and more and more like an overzealous prosecutor,” said Kelly, a UCLA professor emeritus of English and the former director of the university’s Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. “He’s not so much the proud and angry figure who turns away from God as [he is] a Joseph McCarthy or J. Edgar Hoover. Satan’s basic intention is to uncover wrongdoing and treachery, however overzealous and unscrupulous the means. But he’s still part of God’s administration.”

The view runs in opposition to the beliefs held by many Christians and others about key religious concepts like original sin and the nature of good and evil.

“If Satan isn’t really in opposition to God and he isn’t really evil, then that means the fight between good and evil isn’t an authentic part of Christianity,” Kelly said. “What I’m saying will be scandalous to some people.”

But what would you expect of someone’s whose 72nd birthday fell this year on June 6 (06-06-06) and who felt disappointed when nothing momentous occurred that day? Actually, Kelly is no stranger to bubble-bursting. After digging deep into the history of Valentine’s Day, he pronounced 20 years ago that he had not only uncovered the holiday’s origins but that it should be celebrated in May, not February.

Still, if Kelly could be considered scandalous, it’s not because he doesn’t know any better. Kelly started his academic career at a Jesuit seminary and was ordained in four of the seven holy orders on the way to the priesthood, including the order of exorcist.

“It was at that time that I started my campaign to rehabilitate the devil — to deliver him from evil, as it were,” Kelly said.

“Satan: A Biography” is the culmination of more than 40 years of research into the devil and religious and cultural traditions that have grown up around him. The book is Kelly’s third on the topic.

When it comes to the Old Testament, Kelly insists that Satan’s profile is considerably lower than commonly thought and significantly less menacing. By Kelly’s count, Satan only appears three times in the 45 books that make up the pre-Christian scriptures, the best known being in the Book of Job. On each occasion, Satan is still firmly part of what Kelly calls “God’s administration,” and his activities are done at the behest of “the Big Guy.” But his actions aren’t evil so much as consistent with the translation of “devil” and “satan,” which literally mean “adversary” in Greek and Hebrew, respectively.

“His job is to test people’s virtue and to report their failures,” Kelly said.

Perhaps most surprising is not the figure Satan cuts, but his notable absences in the Old Testament. In the Bible’s first reference to Lucifer, for instance, Satan doesn’t appear — even by implication, Kelly points out. “‘Lucifer’ is Latin for light-bearer,” he said, and was the name given to the morning star, or the planet Venus. Originally written in ancient Hebrew, the passage, on face value, refers to the tyrannical Babylonian king who boasts of his conquests but who is “about to be cast to the ground.” Kelly insists there’s nothing more to the reference than an apt use of metaphor, but the third-century Christian philosopher Origen of Alexandria argued in his best known work, “On First Things,” that the reference applied to Satan.

“Origen says, ‘Lucifer is said to have fallen from Heaven,'” Kelly explained. “‘This can’t refer to a human being, so it must refer to Satan.’ Subsequent church fathers found this reasoning persuasive, and so did everyone who followed them.”

Ironically, the only mentions of Lucifer in the New Testament — and there are three of them — refer to Jesus, Kelly said. “Jesus is called ‘Lucifer’ or ‘the morning star’ because he represents a new beginning.”

Another prominent omission in the Old Testament, Kelly said, can be found in Genesis. “Nobody in the Old Testament — or, for that matter, in the New Testament either — ever identifies the serpent of Eden with Satan,” Kelly said. “The serpent is just the smartest animal, and he’s motivated by envy after being jilted by Adam for Eve.”

Kelly traces the correlation of Satan and the serpent to not long after the New Testament was completed. In his “Dialogue With Trypho,” the second-century Christian martyr Justin of Samaria first argued that Satan appeared as a serpent to tempt Adam and Eve to disobey God, according to Kelly.

“This is what I call ‘The New Biography,'” Kelly said. “It starts with Justin Martyr, who implicates Satan in the fall of Adam and Eve. By causing Adam and Eve to fall, Satan caused his own fall.

“The second step in this new and phony biography comes with Origen, who said, ‘No, Satan’s first sin was not deceiving Adam and Eve or refusing to go along with God’s plan of creating Adam in his own image,'” Kelly said. “‘It was to sin out of pride like the morning star, like Lucifer in the passage from Isaiah.’ Turning Satan into God’s enemy is a two-step process.”

Meanwhile, in passages in Luke, Matthew, Corinthians and elsewhere in the New Testament, Satan continues to act as a tester, enforcer and prosecutor but not as God’s enemy, Kelly points out.

“Everyone else has said that by the time Satan gets to the New Testament, he is evil, he’s an enemy of God, but that’s not so,” Kelly said. “The whole biblical picture of Satan is that of a bad cop to Yaweh’s good cop in the Old Testament, and to Jesus’ good cop in the New Testament. Throughout, Satan is someone who works for God.”

A scene in the New Testament’s Book of Revelation is often cited today as evidence that Satan was the deceiver of Adam and Eve, but the interpretation stems from a fundamental misunderstanding, Kelly argues.

“‘That ancient serpent’ refers to the giant sea serpent Leviathan, not the garden snake of Eden,” he said. “In Revelation, Leviathan has morphed into a dragon, or large serpent, with the seven heads and 10 horns, which is still further removed from the seductive serpent who deceived Eve.”

In addition to linking Satan with the Garden of Eden, the passage from Revelation also has been used to prove that Satan fell early on in the Bible, but Kelly insists that is not accurate.

“Satan’s ouster from heaven in Revelation is explained as taking place in the future,” Kelly said. “In Revelation 12:10, a voice says that ‘the accuser of our brothers is cast out, overcome by the testimony of martyrs.’ Since there were no martyrs until Christ died, that has to be in the future.”

Similarly, a passage in the Gospel of Luke, when Jesus reports having seen “Satan fall like lightning,” has been misinterpreted, according to Kelly. “Jesus saw the fall in the past because he had the vision the day before he describes it to the apostles,” Kelly said. “But Jesus is referring to a future fall [of Satan] from his position as God’s attorney general.”

This is not to say, however, that Kelly contends that Satan is likeable.

“Jesus doesn’t like him, and Paul doesn’t like him,” Kelly explained. “He represents the old guard in the heavenly bureaucracy, and everyone longs for him to be disbarred as the chief accuser of humankind.”

The following is an excerpt from LAST CRY  Native American Prophecies & Tales of the End Times, by Dr. Robert Ghost Wolf © 1994-2004 It has appeared in numerous articles over the web, and in magazines all over the world.

The story of the Blue Kachina is a very old story, very old.  I have been aware of the story of the Blue Kachina since I was very young.  I was told this story by grandfathers who are now between 80 and 108 years of age. Frank Waters also wrote about Saquasohuh, the Blue Star  Kachina in The Book of the Hopi, The story came from Grandfather Dan, Oldest Hopi

“It was told to me that first the Blue Kachina would start to be seen at the dances, and would make his appearance known to the children in the plaza during the night dance. This event would tell us that the end times are very near.  Then the Blue Star Kachina would physically appear in our heavens which would mean that we were in the end times.

In the Final days we will look up in our heavens and we will witness the return of the two brothers who helped create this world in the birthing time. Poganghoya is the guardian of our North Pole and his Brother Palongawhoya is the guardian of the South pole. In the final days the Blue Star Katchina will come to be with his nephews and they will return the Earth to its natural rotation which is counter clock wise.

This fact is evidenced in many petraglyphs that speak of the Zodiac, and within the Mayan and Egyptian pyramids. The rotation of the Earth has been manipulated by not so benevolent Star beings . The twins will be seen in our North Western skies.  They will come and visit  to see who still remembered the original teachings  flying in their Patuwvotas, or flying shields.  They will bring many of their star family with them in the final days.

The return of the Blue Star Katchina who is also known as Nan ga sohu  will be the alarm clock that tells us of the new day and new way of life, a new world that is coming.  This is where the changes will begin.  They will start as fires  that burn within us, and we will burn up with desires and conflict if we do not remember the original teachings, and return to the peaceful way of life.

Not far behind the twins will come the Purifier  The Red Katchina, who will bring the Day of Purification. On this day the Earth, her creatures and all life as we know it will change forever.  There will be messengers that will precede this coming of the Purifier.  They will leave messages to those on Earth who remember the old ways.

The messages will be found written in the living stone, through the sacred grains, and even the waters. ( Crop Circles have been found in ice) From the Purifier will issue forth a great Red Light.  All things will change in their manner of being.  Every living thing will be offered the opportunity to change from the largest to the smallest thing.

Those who return to the ways given to us in the original teachings, and live a natural way of life will not be touched by the coming of the Purifier.  They will survive and build the new world. Only in the ancient teachings will the ability to understand the messages be found.

It is important to understand that these messages will be found upon every living thing, even within our bodies, even within a drop of our blood.  All life forms will receive the messages from the twins.. those that fly, the plants, even the rabbit.  The appearance of the twins begins a period of seven years  will be our final opportunity to change our ways.  Everything we experience is all a mater of choice.

Many will appear to have lost their souls in these final days.  So intense will the nature of the changes be that those who are weak in spiritual awareness will go insane, for we are nothing without spirit. They will disappear, for they are just hollow vessels for any thing to use.  Life will be so bad in the cities that many will choose to leave this plane.  Some in whole groups.

Only those who return to the values of the old ways will be able to find peace of mind.  For in the Earth we shall find relief from the madness that will be all around us.  It will be a very hard time for women with children for they will be shunned, and many of the children in these times will be unnatural.  Some being from the Stars some from  past worlds, some will even be created by man in an unnatural manner and will be souless.  Many of people in this time will be empty in Spirit they will have Sampacu.  No life force in their eyes.

As we get close to the time of arrival the Purifier there will be those who walk as ghosts through the cities, through canyons they will have constructed in their man made mountains.  Those that walk through these places will be very heavy in their walk, it will appear almost painful as they take each step  for they will be disconnected from their spirit and the Earth.

After the arrival of the twins, they will begin to vanish before your eyes like so muck smoke.  Others will have great deformities, both in the mind and upon their bodies.  There will be those who  would walk in the body that are not from this reality, for many of the gateways that once protected us will be opened, there will be much confusion.  Confusion between sexes, and children and their elders.

Life will get very perverted, and there will be little social order, in these times  Many will ask for the mountains themselves to fall upon them just to end their misery.  Still others will appear as if untouched by what is occurring.  The ones who remember the original teachings and have reconnected their hearts and spirit. Those who remember who their mother and father is. The Pahana who have left to live in the Mountains and forest.

When the Purifier comes we will see him first as a small Red Star which will come very close and sit in our heavens watching us.  Watching us to see how well we have remembered the sacred teachings.

This Purifier will show us many miraculous signs in our heavens  In this way we will know Creator is not a dream.  Even those who do not feel their connection to spirit will see the face of creator across the sky.  Things unseen will be felt very strongly.

Many things will begin to occur that will not make sense, for reality will be shifting back in and out of the dream state.  There will be many doorways to the lower world that will open at this time. Things long forgotten will come back to remind us of our past creations.  All living things will want to be present for this day when time ends, and we enter the forever cycle of the Fifth World.

We will receive many warnings allowing us to change our ways from below the Earth as well as above.  Then one morning  in a moment.  We will awaken to the Red Dawn. The sky will be the color of blood, many things will then begin to happen that right now we are nor sure of their exact nature. For much of reality will not be as it is now.

There will be many strange beasts upon the Earth in those days, some from the past and some that we have never seen. . The nature of mankind will appear strange in these times we walk between worlds and we will house many spirits even within our bodies  After a time we will again walk with our brothers from the Stars, and rebuild this Earth But not until the Purifier has left his mark upon the universe.

No thing living will go untouched, here or in the heavens. The way through this time it is said is to be found in our hearts, and reuniting with our spiritual self. Getting simple and returning to living with and upon the Earth and in harmony with her creatures.  Remembering that we are the caretakers, the fire keepers of the Spirit. Our relatives from the Stars are coming home to see how well we have faired in our journey.

Mithras = Christianity

Posted: September 14, 2012 by phaedrap1 in Spirituality

This religion, cloaked in mystery and secrecy, has captivated the imaginations of scholars for generations.  Many facts discovered sheds vital light on the cultural dynamics that led to the rise of Christianity.  The National Geographic Society’s book “Great Religions of the World,” page 309 writes; “By Jesus’ time, East and West had mingled here for three centuries.  Down columns of boulevards walked Roman soldiers loyal to the Persian god Mithras.” Mithras was a Persian deity.  He was also the most widely venerated god in the Roman Empire at the time of Jesus.  The Catholic Encyclopedia as well as the early Church Fathers found this religion of Mithras very disturbing, as there are so many similarities between the two religions, as follows:

 1)  Hundreds of years before Jesus, according to the Mithraic religion, three Wise Men of Persia came to visit the baby savior-god Mithra, bring him gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense.

2)  Mithra was born on December 25 as told in the “Great Religions of the World”, page 330; “…it was the winter solstice celebrated by ancients as the birthday of Mithraism’s sun god”.

3)  According to Mithraism, before Mithra died on a cross, he celebrated a “Last Supper with his twelve disciples, who represented the twelve signs of the zodiac.

4)  After the death of Mithra, his body was laid to rest in a rock tomb.

5)  Mithra had a celibate priesthood.

6)  Mithra ascended into heaven during the spring (Passover) equinox (the time when the sun crosses the equator making night and day of equal length).

As you can now see, Christianity derived many of its essential elements from the ancient religion of Mithraism.   Mithraism became intertwined with the cult of Jesus to form what is known today as “Christianity.” Although literary sources on this religion are sparse, an abundance of material evidence exists in the many Mithraic temples and artifacts that archaeologists have found scattered throughout the Roman Empire, from England in the north and west to Palestine in the south and east.  The temples were usually built underground in caves, which are filled with an extremely elaborate iconography (illustrating by pictures, figures and images).  There were many hundreds of Mithraic temples in the Roman Empire, the greatest concentrations have been found in the city of Rome itself.

We often hear about how many of the traditions, rites and symbols of modern day “Christian” holidays have their roots in paganism. Have you ever wondered why December 25th was chosen to celebrate the birth of Jesus? Could it only be a consequence that ancient paganism and the story of Mithras’ birth coincides with the Yule/Christmas season? If the accounts in the Bible are correct, the time of Jesus birth would have been closer to mid-summer, for this is when shepherds would have been “tending their flocks in the field ” and the new lambs were born. Strange enough, the ancient pagan religion, Mithraism, which dates back over 4,000 years, also celebrated the birth of their “saviour” on December 25th. Franz Cumont, who is consider by many to be the leading research authority on Roman Paganism, explained the ancient religion called Mithraism.

Then Mithras returned to the earth to teach humanity His commandments and begin Mysteries and Rites which would help humans remember His acts on our behalf. Because of His actions, we can choose good without the overwhelming power of evil, even though evil’s influence can still seem powerful because our minds believe it is. Because of His teachings, we know that the purpose of our lives is to serve others in the name of Mithras. The followers refer to Him as the “Light of the World” a phrase often used also in Christian faith when referring to Jesus.

This son of a god born of a virgin, was so commonly spread in those days that Philo of Alexandria (30 BCE – 45 CE), warned against this widespread superstitious belief in unions between male gods and human females. The offspring’s are known as demigods.

Tammuz, who was incorporated also into Attis and Mithras, and they stood model for the story in the NT, because they were deities who all are supposed to have died and resurrected. Tammuz was always called Adon, meaning Lord. (the Greek Adonis, was based on him). Actually all these deities were based on the first deity to have died and resurrected, the Egyptian deity Osiris. So there is absolutely nothing unique about Jesus. In fact he is copyright due to Osiris.

Of the following (semi) deities, legends went around that they were born of a virgin:
Augustus (his father was the god Apollo)
Adonis                       Agdistis                        Attis
Korybas                     Krishna                        Dionysus
Osirus                        Perseus                         Mithras
Tammuz                    Zoroaster                     Jesus
So basically, all the pagan religions were alike, including Christianity. It just happens that one of them got the ascendancy, and became the most powerful, and did its best to wipe out all the others. In addition to a lack of historical support, many characteristics of Jesus, which Christians today believe in, are undeniably similar or identical to religious trends and beliefs that preceded Christianity. There are tens of accounts of pagan gods of many different cultures who were said to have the same attributes as those that Christians claim Jesus had. A brief review of some of these may lead to some interesting questions concerning the originality of the Christian claim:

ATTIS – Phrygia: Born of the virgin Nana on December 25. He was both the Father and the Divine Son. He was a savior crucified on a tree for the salvation of mankind. He was buried but on the third day the priests found the tomb empty — He had arisen from the dead (on March 25th). He followers were baptized in blood, thereby washing away their sins — after which they declared themselves “born again.” His followers ate a sacred meal of bread, which they believed became the body of the savoir.

DIONYSUS – GREECE: Born of a Virgin on December 25th, placed in a manger. He was a traveling teacher who performed many miracles. Turned water into wine. Followers ate sacred meal that became the body of the god. He rose from the dead March 25th. Identified with the ram and lamb’s and was called “King of Kings,” “Only Begotten Son,” “Savior,” “Redeemer,” “Sin bearer,” “Anointed One,” the “Alpha and Omega.”

HERACLES – GREECE: Born at the winter equinox of a virgin who refrained from sex with her until her god-begotten child was born and was sacrificed at the spring equinox. He too, was called “Savior,” “Only begotten,” “Prince of Peace,” “Son of Righteousness.”

KRISHNA – INDIA: Krishna was born while his foster-father Nanda was in the city to pay his tax to the king. His nativity heralded by a star, Krishna was born of the virgin Devaki in a cave, which at the time of his birth was miraculously illuminated. The cow-herds adored his birth. King Kansa sought the life of the Indian Christ by ordering the massacre of all male children born during the same night at He. Krishna traveled widely, performing miracles — raising the dead, healing lepers, the deaf and the blind. The crucified Krishna is pictured on the cross with arms extended. Pierced by an arrow while hanging on the cross, Krishna died, but descended into Hell from which He rose again on the third day and ascended into Heaven. (The Gospel of Nicodemus tell of Jesus’ descent into Hell.) He will return on the last day to judge the quick and the dead. Krishna is the second person of the Hindu trinity.

OSIRIS – EGYPT: He came to fulfill the law. Called “KRST,” the “Anointed One.” Born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a cave / manger, with his birth announced by a star and attended by three wise men. Earthly father named “Seb” (translates to “Joseph.”) At age 12 he was a child teacher in the Temple and at 30 he was baptized, having disappeared for 18 years. Osiris was baptized in the river Iarutana — the river Jordan — by “Anup the Baptizer,” who was beheaded. (Anup translates to John.) He performed miracles, exorcised demons, raised El-Osiris from the dead. Walked on water and was betrayed by Typhon, crucified between two thieves on the 17th day of the month of Athyr. Buried in a tomb from which he arose on the third day (19th Athyr) and was resurrected. His suffering, death, and resurrection celebrated each year by His disciples on the Vernal Equinox — Easter. Called “The Way, the Truth, the Light,” “Messiah,” “god’s Anointed Son,’ the “Son of Man,” the “Word made Flesh,” the “word of truth.”  Expected to reign a thousand years.
NOTE 1: Persian legends of Mithras says that He was born of the Sun God and a virgin mother, called “the Mother of God”, on December 25th. They saw him as a symbol of justice, truth, and loyalty. He was considered the saviour of humankind, and stories abound of His healing the sick, raising the dead, and performing miracles (making the blind see and the lame walk). Throughout His lifetime, He was seen as a protector of human souls, a mediator between “heaven” and “earth” and was even associated with a “holy trinity”. He remained celibate, until the ripe old age of 64, throughout his life and preached the virtues of ethics, moral behavior, and good will. Does this sound familiar? Sure sounds like Jesus.

NOTE 2: Ancient Persians believed in a “celestial heaven” and hell. They believed that they would be judged by their god and granted justice of” eternal salvation. On judgement day, the faithful dead would be resurrected and light would triumph over darkness.

NOTE 3: They took part in ritual purification or baptism, held Sundays sacred, drank wine and ate bread as a symbol of the body and blood and even took part in ritualistic purging (purification rites such as flagellation).

NOTE 4: In their legends, Mithras had an “earthly mission’ to accomplish. He then was put to death on a cross and buried in a cave (some legends have Him held in a cave to be reborn once a year).

NOTE 5: He then “rose from the dead” and took part in a last supper with his 12 disciples (often associated with the 12 signs of the zodiac) and then ascended to the heavens to watch over His “flock” from above.

As a footnote to all this: The World Book Encyclopedia tells that Mithras was an angel of light who fought on the side against the forces of evil.  In the Zoroastrian religion of ancient Persia Mithras was called “the Heavenly Light.” This belief carried to Assyria and Asia Minor where many people identified him with the sun.  Mithraism came into the ancient Roman world about 75 BCE., and ranked as a principal competitor of Christianity for 200 years.

Trinity―Trinities were popular in pagan sects before Christianity was introduced to the world. Some of the more well known trinity gods included Mithra-Vohu Mana-Rashnu, Amen-Mut-Khonsu, and Osiris-Isis-Horus.

Virgin Birth―Among the pagan cultures that preceded Christianity, virgin birth stories abounded. The long list of pagan gods born of virgins includes: Romulus and Remus, Zoroaster, Buddha, Mithras, Krishna, Osiris-Aion, Agdistis, Attis, Tammuz, Adonis, Korybas, Perseus, and Dionysus.

Disciples―In the following ‘saviors’ cases, a grouping of disciples was present, just as they were present in Jesus’ story: Horus, Buddha, Krishna, Dionysus, Mithra. Interestingly enough, in the case of Dionysus, his disciple Acoetes was a boatman, just as Jesus’ disciple Peter. And just as Peter was freed from jail when the doors miraculously flew open, so was Dionysus’ disciple Acoetes. In Buddha’s case, he, like Jesus, demanded that his disciples renounce all worldly possessions. Yet another instance of similarity is that the disciples of both Jesus and Buddha were said to have been arrested for preaching, as well as witnessed to have “walked on water.”

Miracles―Among those ‘saviors’ who, like Jesus, performed countless miracles include: Horus, Krishna, Buddha, Dionysus, Mithra, Osiris, and Adonis. Horus was said to have walked on water, just as Jesus did. In addition, Horus raised one man, El-Azarus, from the dead in front of countless witnesses. In the case of Buddha, it was told that he fed five hundred men with one loaf of bread, that he cured lepers, and that he caused the blind to see.  Dionysus  rescued a person from dying when the person was utterly desolate and placed them among the stars. And he gave food and drink, herbs and berries, to the starving people — not to mention turning water into wine.

The Sun―Here is another common theory, quoted from S. Acharya’s “The Origins of Christianity and the Quest for the Historical Jesus:” “The reason why all these pagan narratives are so similar to a “god-man” is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe.

Paul was supposedly born and raised in the city of Tarsus, a region in SE Asia-Minor (now called Turkey) where Mithras was well known.  Biblical scholars are now saying that Paul, the alleged author of 13 out of the 27 (maybe more) books of the New Testament, may have been influenced in his writings by this strong religion of Mithraism.  We can see a profound kinship between Mithraism and Christianity.

In-as-much as Mithraism was so popular in Rome, it is no wonder why the pagan Emperor Constantine, who believed in the sun god, Mithras, designated a certain day of the week to him, Sunday, which means, “the day of the sun.”

The original “Christian” faith became a mix of pagan, Mithramic, Judeo/Christian teaching. This lead to the confusing mix of theology that we have today within the “Christian” community. This apostasy from the original simple and plain teachings of Christ was accelerated by the persecutions and killings of any who tried to support the “old” ways. Maybe this solves the mystery of the “ungodly” marriage between Mithraism and the cult of Jesus. As it turns out, it was all for political convenience! But, Christians think they are better than that today. In short: The “Christianity” they have today has almost no relationship, in doctrine or in way of life, to the “the original teachings of Jesus.”

In my mind, there are two Jesus’ teachings. Jesus the Jew and Jesus the Gentile, which by the way is really Paul’s Jesus.  And guess which one Christians follow? The ex-pagan Constantine liked Paul’s Jesus over Jesus the Jew. Jesus and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun through the heavens.

For instance, many of the world’s crucified “god-men” have their traditional birthday on December 25. This is because the ancients recognized that (from an earth-centric perspective) the sun makes an annual descent southward until December 21 or 22, the winter solstice, when it stops moving southerly for three days and then starts to move northward again.

During this time, the ancients declared that “God’s sun” had “died” for three days and was “born again” on December 25. The ancients realized quite abundantly that they needed the sun to return every day and that they would be in big trouble if the sun continued to move southward and did not stop and reverse its direction. Thus, these many different cultures celebrated the “sun of God’s” birthday on December 25th. The following are the characteristics of the “sun” of God:

a.  The sun “dies” for three days on December 22, the winter solstice, when it stops in its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25, it resumes its movement north.
b.  In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be “born of a Virgin.”
c.  The sun is the “Light of the World.”
d.  The sun “cometh on clouds, and every eye shall see him.”
e.  The sun rising in the morning is the “Savior of mankind.”
f.   The sun wears a corona (“crown of thorns”) or a halo.
g.  The sun “walks on water.”
h.  The sun’s “followers” or “disciples” are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the Zodiac, through which the sun must pass.
i.  The sun is “crucified,” which represents it’s passing through the equinoxes, the vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected.
In addition, all over the world are sites where this “god” or that allegedly was born, walked, suffered, died, etc., a common occurrence that is not monopolized by, and did not originate with, Christianity. An early Christian Syrian writer (quoted in Credner’s “De Natalitorium Christi Origine”) wrote the following concerning the December 25 hoax: “The reason why the Church fathers transferred the celebration from January 6 to December 25, was that it was the custom of the pagans to celebrate on the same December 25 the birthday of the sun, at which time they lit lights in token of festivity, and in these rites and festivals the Christians also took part. Accordingly, when the doctors of the Church perceived that the Christians had a liking for this festival, they resolved that the true nativity should be commemorated on that day.

When the Christ myth was new Mithras and Mithraism were already ancient. Worshiped for centuries as God’s Messenger of Truth, Mithras was long revered by the Persians and the Indians (Zoroastrianism) before his faith found it’s way to Rome where His mysteries flourished in the second century AD. Every year in Rome, in the middle of winter, the Son of God was born one more, putting an end to darkness. Every year at first minute of December 25th the temple of Mithras was lit with candles, priests in in white garments celebrated the birth of the Son of God and boys burned incense. Mithras was born in a cave, on December 25th, of a virgin mother. He came from heaven to be born as a man, to redeem men from their sin. He was know as “Savior,” “Son of God,” “Redeemer,” and “Lamb of God.” With twelve disciples he traveled far and wide as a teacher and illuminator of men. He was buried in a tomb from which he rose again from the dead — an event celebrated yearly with much rejoicing. His followers kept the Sabbath holy, holding sacramental feasts in remembrance of Him. The sacred meal of bread and water, or bread and wine, was symbolic of the body and blood of the sacred bull.

Baptism in the blood of the bull (taurobolum) – early Baptism “washed in the blood of the Lamb” – late Baptism by water [recorded by the Christian author Tertullian Mithraic rituals brought about the transformation and Salvation of His adherents –an ascent of the soul of the adherent into the realm of the divine.

All over the world are sites where this “god” or that allegedly was born, walked, suffered, died, etc., a common occurrence that is not monopolized by, and did not originate with, Christianity. At the time of Jesus, as for centuries before, the Mediterranean world roiled with a wide diversity of mythical creeds and rituals. Details varied according to location and culture, but the general outlines of these faiths were astonishingly similar. Simply put, the ancients’ gods:

a.  Were born on or very near our Christmas Day

b.  Were born of a Virgin-Mother

c.  Were born in a Cave or Underground Chamber.

d.  Led a life of toil for Mankind.

e.  Were called by the names of Light-bringer, Healer, Mediator, Savior, Deliverer.

f.  Were however vanquished by the Powers of Darkness.

g.  And descended into Hell or the Underworld.

h.  Rose again from the dead, and became the pioneers of mankind to the Heavenly world.

i.  Founded Communions of Saints, and Churches into which disciples were received by Baptism.

j.  Were commemorated by Eucharistic meals.

Many professors of modern and past times cannot help but conclude that Jesus is based on mythical deities of old. Among these scholars number individuals such as Porphry (3rd Century), Max Muller, Ernest de Bunsen, Joseph Wheless, Albert Churchward (all of the 19th Century), and T.W. Doane (20th Century). Even Pope Leo X, privy to the truth because of his high rank, made this curious declaration, “It was well known how profitable this fable of Christ has been to us” (“The Diegesis” by Rev. Robert Taylor, footnote, p. 35).

To conclude, in light of the tremendous volume of evidence that is there for anyone interesting in taking the time to study, the underlying question of whether or not Christianity is simply the heir of mythical beliefs prevalent at the time of its development, is not a question that can simply be ignored by any Christian when pondering the origins of his/her faith.

Ida, Pingala and the Central Sushumna

Posted: September 7, 2012 by phaedrap1 in Spirituality

This threefold thread within the spinal column is therefore composed of three threads of energy which have channeled for themselves in the substance of the interior of the column a “threefold way of approach and of withdrawal.”

The Moon chain with the Earth chain formed two units, or two polarities, negative and positive. The point of merging was reached, and the Earth chain absorbed or synthesized the moon chain in the same sense as certain of the schemes will merge until only three will apparently be left.
Therefore the Earth chain is essentially dual in its nature, being the sum total of a male and a female chain. This is a mystery impossible to elucidate further.
The major task of man is the “regulation of the pairs of opposites.” The theme of duality, therefore, runs through the whole story of man’s development.
The white magician uses the kundalini force as it is transmitted via the central spinal channel. The black magician uses the inferior channels, dividing the fourfold energy in two units, which mount via the two channels, leaving the central one dormant.
Hence it will be apparent that one works with duality and the other with unity. On the planes of duality, therefore, it is apparent why the black magician has so much power. The plane of unity for humanity is the mental plane.
The ancient yoga of Atlantean days (which has come down to us in the necessarily fragmentary teaching of the yoga of the centers) conveys to us the information that the reflection of the sutratma in the human organism is called the spinal cord, and expresses itself in three nerve channels. These three are called ida, pingala, and the central channel, the sushumna.
When the negative and positive forces of the body, which express themselves via the ida and pingala nerve routes, are equilibrized, the forces can ascend and descend by the central channel to and from the brain, passing through the centers up the spine without hindrance. When this is the case we have perfected soul expression in the physical man.
The three channels up the spine are responsive in their totality to the three major centers:
To the solar plexus center, providing thus the impulse of desire and feeding the physical life and the creative urge.
To the heart center, providing the impulse to love and to conscious contact with ever widening areas of divine expression.
To the head center, providing the dynamic impulse of the will to live.

I do not indicate which channel is responsive to which center, except in the case of the sushumna channel which is responsive only to the energy of the head center and the directing will, centered in the 1000-petalled lotus. This can be safely stated, as the spiritual will is as yet undeveloped in those who seek to arouse kundalini. When it is aroused, they will know what they can safely do.

The spinal column (from the angle of the esoteric sciences) houses a threefold thread. This is the externalization of the antahkarana, composed of the antahkarana proper, the sutratma or life thread, and the creative thread. This threefold thread within the spinal column is therefore composed of three threads of energy which have channeled for themselves in the substance of the interior of the column a “threefold way of approach and of withdrawal.”
These are called in the Hindu terminology: the ida, the pingala and the sushumna paths, and they together form the path of life for the individual man and are awakened into activity sequentially and according to ray type and the point of evolution. The sushumna path is not used correctly and safely until the antahkarana has been built and the Monad and Personality are thereby related, even if it is only by the most tenuous thread. Then the Monad, the Father, the will aspect, can reach the personality in a direct manner, and can arouse the basic center, and with it blend, unify and raise the three fires. One of these paths is the one along which the energy which feeds matter is poured. Another is related to the path of consciousness and of sensitive psychic unfoldment. The third is the path of pure spirit.
The Sushumna ray the first of the Seven Mystic rays of the Sun… The names of the Seven Rays which are, Sushumna, Harikesa, Viswakarman, Viswatryarchas, Sannaddha, Sarvavasu and Swaraj, are all mystical, and each has its distinct application in a distinct state of consciousness, for occult purposes.
Ray 1. First Channel of Unity, Sushumna. The Lord of Power or Will. This Life wills to love, and uses power as an expression of divine beneficence. Pure Spirit. The head center, providing the dynamic impulse of the will to live. Central balanced superior Channel. (narrow razor-edged path).
Ray 2. Second Channel of Duality, Harikesa. The Lord of Love-Wisdom, Who is the embodiment of pure love. Is related to the path of consciousness and of sensitive psychic unfoldment. The heart center, providing the impulse to love and to conscious contact with ever widening areas of divine expression. Right pingala inferior channel positive Sun Yang masculine Fire “THA”nadi. Heart Center. The pairs of opposites, Soul and Personality (battlefield of higher relations).
Ray 3. Third Channel of Duality, Viswakarman. The Lord of Active Intelligence, One along which the energy which feeds matter is poured. To the solar plexus center, providing thus the impulse of desire and feeding the physical life and the creative urge. left Ida inferior channel negative Moon Yin feminine water “HA”nadi. Solar Plexi center. The pairs of opposites (of which the scales are the symbol). Adapted JPC.
Simultaneously with this appearance of duality in the “nadis”, the disciple finds himself able to use the two channels – ida and pingala – which are found up the spinal column, one on each side of the central channel. There can now be the free flow of force up and down these two “pathways of the forces” and thus out into the “nadis”, utilizing the area around any of the major centers as distributing areas and thus galvanizing, at will, any part of the mechanism into activity, or the whole mechanism into coordinated action. The disciple has now reached the point in his development where the etheric web, which separates all the centers up the spine from each other, has been burned away by the fires of life. The “sushumna” or central channel can be slowly utilized. This parallels the period wherein there is the free flow of soul force through the central channel in the “nadis”.
JPC. May 2004.

Shielding 101

Author’s Note: Ever since my very visible work on the television show Paranormal State, I find myself asked again and again about psychic protection techniques — both from spirits and from the energies of the living. The following article, previously posted on the House Kheperu website (which hosts an extensive archive of similarly useful articles, all of which are also collected in this book), addresses the most fundamental technique of psychic protection: shielding.

Shielding is a technique which allows you to keep outside energies from intruding upon your energy. With shielding, you set up a barrier between you and everything you want to keep out. Shielding is an essential technique for sensitives and natural empaths, for without the ability to erect a barrier between themselves and the outside world, they can easily be overwhelmed by the assault of thoughts, emotions, and energies.

The Causal/Soul Body

Posted: August 23, 2012 by phaedrap1 in Spirituality

The Causal/Soul Body is named “Causal” because it is the originating source of each personality that incarnates in each lifetime. It is the source of your personality, causing it to be and exist. When your personality ends, the essence of you is absorbed back into the Causal Body. It is the first level of your individuality that is relatively immortal as the Causal Body exists for many millions of years, during your journey as a human through many incarnations or lifetimes. Animals have yet to obtain a Causal Body and those enlightened beings that are liberated from the cycle of rebirth discard the Causal Body and move on to higher levels.  The word “Soul” is used as a label by various religions and cultures to indicate an aspect of the human being that is different from the physical and more advanced spiritually. Generally it is meant to designate the innermost individuality. Many times Soul is used erroneously to mean the astral body, the mental body and other inner aspects. Here it is applied to the Causal Body because it is the pinnacle of personal consciousness.
The Causal Body is the depository for all consciousness and virtues cultivated in each lifetime; especially developed willpower, love, wisdom, and creativity.  It kees safe all the experiences and lessons from our past lives.  It is the vehicle for human immortality, whether a personality is in incarnation or not.
The Causal Body/Soul is the central focal point of consciousness for the entire human being. Therefore its range of consciousness includes all of the other bodies. As it awakens spiritually it becomes aware of other souls on its own level and participates in a universe and an existence independent of the personality. The Soul’s life is one of unity, group consciousness, love, wisdom, bliss, and purpose. As it spiritually awakens with the aid of the meditating personality, it extends its range of consciousness into the Higher Mind, Christ consciousness, and eventually the level of God/Goddess.  The Causal Body has two additional senses: Response to Group Vibration (used to find its soul group), and Spiritual Telepathy (used to communicate with other souls).
The experience of time is accelerated such that a physical lifetime is experienced as a day.  Viewed from a 3 dimensional perspective it appears as a radiant orb of white and golden light, a miniature sun . It has vortices on the top and bottom, lines of light and sparkling energy throughout.   Causal/Soul consciousness is awakened through life and certain meditation practices.

The Mental Body facilitates cognition. It gives you the ability to have thoughts, beliefs, concepts, and higher psychic abilities.  Mental consciousness ranges from  the very specific to the  very general and abstract.  The five mental senses are: Mental hearing, mental feeling, mental sight, the mental equivalent of taste), and the mental equivalent of smell.
The Mental Body has its own range of feeling. When there is excessive focus on negative thought then there is judgment, mental fear, and depression. When the focus is on the positive then there is compassion, understanding, peace, and joy.  The Mental Universe  is overall a place of beauty. It is filled with light – and pastel colors are common. The Mental  Universe, similar to the Astral World, contains a mental replica of the higher universes. It is filled with knowledge about everything.  Mental consciousness is more objective, factual, and impersonal than astral consciousness. However, individual personality and character are at the highest level of development in mental consciousness.
The Mental Body is shaped like the Physical Body. It also has an aura that is oval shaped with pointed ends. The aura extends about 4 to 10 feet from the Physical Body. The usual colors seen are light blue, yellow, gray, silver, white, and gold, however all pastel colors can be present. It has the same major chakras as the physical and astral bodies.  Mental consciousness is awakened through academic study, reading, certain types of energetic stimulation, and certain meditation practices.

The Astral Body allows you to have desires, emotions, imagination, and psychic abilities. It is the power behind turning thoughts into manifestations.  When in the astral a person feels the full range of emotions from fear, hate, selfishness and sorrow to love, happiness, and ecstasy.  We experience dreams, fantasies, out of body experiences, near death experiences, hallucinations, and visions when in the astral.  There are five astral senses: Clairaudiance , Psychometry , Clairvoyance, the astral equivalent of taste, and astral equivalent of smell.
The Astral World includes anything imaginable, from the worst horrors to the most amazing heavens. The Astral World It is filled with imagery, feeling, and above all a personal point of view.
The Astral Body looks like the physical body and the aura usually in an oval shape sometimes with points at each end. The aura extends about 4 to 9 feet from the Physical Body. It has the same chakras as the physical body.  It changes colour and can be subdued to brilliant in hue depending on mood.
Awareness of the Astral World can be awakened by meditation, psychic development techniques, out of body experiences, shamanic practices, lucid dreaming, certain drugs – especially psychedelics,  certain types of trauma, biochemical imbalances, and certain types of energetic stimulation.
